South Tyneside SC held their Spring Graded meet on the 9th and the 10th of April at the Hebburn Swimming Pool.   All events are heat declared winner with the exception of the 14/over 50m events which all go to finals.

Once again Hartlepool ASC joined over thirty Swimming Clubs from all over the United Kingdom to compete in the City of Sunderland’s Long Course Spring Meet. The competition took place on the 26th and 27th of March 2011 and was held in Sunderland’s Aquatics Centre a World and Olympic standard 10 lane 50 metre pool

Derwentside Swimming Club held their development graded gala at the Louisa Centre, Stanley on Saturday the 26th and Sunday the 27th of March.  The graded gala had the top 6 places of each age group event receive awards.  Gold, Silver and Bronze medals where given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd and Ribbons where given for 4th, 5th and 6th.

Hartlepool SC Masters Swimmer Carole Boagey entered the pool for the first time this year when she competed in the 20th Annual Open Masters Gala 2011.  The competition was hosted by the Darlington Dolphin Masters ASC and was held in the Dolphin Leisure Centre Pool, in Darlington on Sunday 27th March

The City of Sheffield Swimming Club held their Premier meet over three days, Friday the 25th, Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th of March. 

The event took place in the prestigious Ponds Forge International Sports Centre Sheffield which is one of the UK’s most established and successful aquatics centre.

The British Gas Northumberland & Durham Swimming Association Championships 2011 was hosted by Middlesbrough SC and was held in the Neptune Centre swimming pool.  The swimming event was held over two weekends the 5th and 6th and the 12th and 13th of March.

Hartlepool SC’s 14yr old swimmer Oliver Stoker travelled to Sunderland’s Aquatic Centre on the Sunday the 13th February.  He competed in the British Gas, Northumberland and Durham Swimming Association, Championships 1500m Freestyle Distance. 

Hartlepool SC’s New Head coach Ian Bullock attended his first competition in charge of the Hartlepool swimming team. He took  eight swimmers to Harrogate’s 29th Open Age Group Meet at The Hydro in Harrogate on Saturday 5th  & Sunday  6th of February to compete against some of the Countries best.

A warm welcome was given at the Louisa Centre, Stanley by Newburn ASC who where hosting their 2011 New Year Graded Meet.  The event took place on Saturday the 22nd and Sunday the 23rd of January.

The swimming competition was jointly hosted by Gateshead and Whickham ASC, Derwentside ASC, and Chester Le Street ASC and was held at Ponds Forge, Sheffield on the 14th and 15th of January.
